Art All Day is Trenton’s open studio tour and creative showcase: a unique opportunity to experience Trenton as a hub of art studios, galleries, and creative businesses – a vibrant urban center of artistry and innovation. The images in the squares are the digital sketches I designed for the team to select from. The creative brief is to show the feel of the city in interesting ways, as the goal is to get people to go from place to place.

Once we settle on the graphic as campaign image we can start to implement on the way finding map (which is the main piece), postcards, posters and all the social media needs. The has to fold down so it can easily go into a pocket, and we have designed the content based on print sheet size, events and listings. Once we designate the map by panel we can develop the content for that panel. It is of course mostly localized distribution.

We really figured out the image brand for Art All Day from simply walking around the city and taking photos. What do people see everyday? What is familiar, and that could be turned into art. Part of the imaging has been to make a graphic, and then overlay bright colors – it’s a good formula. The graphic in the circles were extensions to the concept that could be the graphic, sticker, button or T-shirt.
