The Historical Education event, known as Patriots Week – grew, and grew and grew over the years thanks to the dedicated TDA staff. I worked on this project since 2006 – the very first one (!). And, with a small staff we needed to created marketing pieces for every aspect.
Anything you can think of, we did. Buttons, wristbands, ads, catalogs, posters, maps, lawn signs, street pole banners – the task list was massive, but with good planning, realistic timelines, and partnerships we did feel measures of success with the event.
We did need an extensive image library that we covered the previous year – to keep the image as current as possible. The event programming had to be flexible as dates and locations would change. We had media kits designed to share, photo libraries – and at one point over 60 social media ads.
