In collaboration with Mercer Alliance to End Homelessness, this commission was to document homelessness in an artistic, non exploitative fashion. The conceptual premise of this assignment translated into creating domestic interior environments on the street in areas where some of the homeless live. The long term goal was to place the images in galleries, museums and state institutions and raise awareness about homelessness in Mercer County.

The images were on display at the Arts Council of Princeton’s inaugural exhibition called Return Home, (raising the question of what ‘home’ actually is), New Hope Arts in New Hope, PA in a show called ‘Speak Up, Speak Out’, the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce and the State House.

An art video was also produced about a day at the soup kitchen. The 2 minute film was awarded best experimental short film at the Bucks County Film Festival. The film can be viewed on Comcast Channel 1, (local section) and YouTube. The title of the film is 'Loop Kitchen'.

The United Way of Bucks County posted the film on the home page of their web site for a month.

Commission by Siemens Corporation to photograph rotors, labby rings and bearings and create images that illustrate ‘beauty in metal’. The long term goal was to decorate the new office space and training rooms. The images were printed large (45” x 60”), mounted and framed for permanent display. This was a partnership with Glen Roc Gallery, Ewing, NJ.

A bond formed between the engineering department and metal workers, who on occasion were at odds. These images connected the departments and boosted morale with the realization of working as team for a common goal.

Developed by artist and photographer Andrew Wilkinson, in collaboration with portrait photographer Benoit Cortet, The Anthropological Wordsmith Picture Show provided everyone with the opportunity to be a part of the project.

Participants were asked to write one word on a piece of paper and then be photographed with their word in front of a brick wall.

The event took place at ART ALL NIGHT, 2011 - The Roebling Wire Works, Trenton NJ - produced by ArtworksTrenton.org
